Pilikula biological park to hold competitions as part of Wildlife Week

Mangalore, Sep 20, 2012 : Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Biological Park will hold a wildlife photography competition for amateur photographers and quiz and drawing contests for school children on the subject of wildlife and nature on its premises on October 7, as part of its Wildlife Week 2012 celebrations.

Interested amateur photographers are required to send their photographs, which should be at least 18”X12”, to the Director, Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Biological Park, Moodushedde, Mangalore 575028 on or before Oct 6. The photos will be displayed at the park the following day and prizes and certificates will be given to the best three photographs.

School children who want to take part in the drawing contest must bring their own colors, but drawing sheets will be provided by the organizers. The contest will be held in 4 categories, and each category will receive first and second prizes.
