Poachers Caught Red-handed

Range Forest Officer (RFO) Bhaskar and his staff caught two people who were poaching near Muthodi wildlife sanctuary red-handed. 

Going hunting during the Diwali season is a habit of the region. The poachers, identified as Dilip of Hangaravalli and Jayarama of Ujjani, along with 4 friends, shot a sambar at Siddarahalli near the sanctuary and were in the process of moving it to their car when they were nabbed by the forest officials. The four friends who had accompanied them escaped. 

The forest officials have seized the car and the weapon used for killing the sambar. The poachers are now behind bars.
