Mangaluru: Former Union Minister Janardhan Poojary has urged the chief minister to order for a CBI inquiry into the case of suspicious death of IAS officer D K Ravi in Bengaluru. Speaking to media on March 17, he said that it is beyond reason that such a bold and straight forward IAS officer has committed suicide.
The chief minister must send a strong message that the government will protect good officers by ordering for CBI inquiry. The probe should bring out the truth. Is it possible for such a brave IAS officer who took on sand mafia and land mafia, tax evaders, to have committed a suicide?
"Those who had driven him to death should be found and punished. The government should fight corruption," he said.
