Udupi, June 24, 2012: Prasad Madhwaraj, eldest son of Manorama Madhwaraj, former MP of Udupi, died on Saturday after being ill for a long time.

Prasad Madhwaraj (48) was not as active in politics as Pramod Madhwaraj, his younger brother, who is a Congress leader in Udupi. Instead, he focused on his Coronet Fishing and Canning Company, which he owned.

According to his family, he died in Kasturba Hospital and will be cremated in Malpe on Sunday.

Prasad Madhwaraj is survived by a family comprising brother, mother, and five sisters.
