Mangaluru, Dec 17, 2019: The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and the Hasiru Sene will take out a protest rally from Dr B R Ambedkar Circle to the DK DC’s office, followed by a protest meet in front of the DC office on December 17, from 11 am. Opposing the negligent attitude of the government towards farmers,
Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene State Secretary Ravikiran Punacha said that various demands will be placed before the government during the protest.
“The demands include crediting the loan waiver amount to the bank accounts of beneficiary farmers, compensation to those who lost crops due to diseases and due to floods, speeding up the process of clearing applications submitted by farmers towards regularisation of their lands under Akrama-Sakrama and taking measures to stabilise market rates,” he said.
Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha district president Oswald Prakash Fernandes, vice president Alwyn Menezes, secretary Prasad Shetty Peraje and Belthangady taluk unit president Sudharkar Jain Kokradi were present at the press meet.
