Priest honoured at Laxmi Narayani Temple, Kodialbail

Sep 09, 2016: It is reported that the Sharada Rama Rao’s Trust, Mangaluru, officially felicitated M Laxmi Narayana Bhat who has been serving as the priest in Sri Laxmi Narayani Temple, Kodialbail, since the last 50 years. He was presented with Apatbandhava Award on the occasion, for his social service.

Bhat joined as the priest of the temple at the age of 20. Since then, he has been performing the pooja at the temple. The temple was built by P V S Beedies Founder Late Puthu Vaikunta Shet.

Bhat is also a Tabla artiste and has accompanied Bhadragiri Achuta Das for 25 years.  Laxmi Narayana Bhat’s wife Vijayalaxmi Bhat, Trust’s chairman P Ravindra Rao, Karnataka Bank Chief Manager Shobha Rao, Ashwini Engineering Works Chairman P B Rao and others were present.
