Principal said to have forged signature on certificate

Udupi, Dec 22, 2015: Gilbert Briganza, Principal of a private aided Industrial Training Institute at Chitpadi, Udupi has been accused of printing and issuing certificates with a forged signature of Mathew Vaz, convener of the institution.

Rev. Fredrick Mascarenhas from Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi lodged a complaint in this regard at the Udupi Town Police Station. Rev. Mascarenhas informed the police that while he was in office on DEc 18, Friday, Gilbert Briganza entered without permission and tried to issue a certificate with a forged signature to a student for completing the course of Mechanical Engineering in 2014.
