Province Day celebrated by Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany

Mangalore, Dec 3, 2012: Province Day was celebrated by the sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany of Mangalore Province on December 2, Sunday at the Bethany Provincialate. Various programmes with the theme “The New Evangelization for the transmission of faith” were organized to mark this day of Thanksgiving and re-dedication.

Provincial Superior Sr Mariette, who spoke on the occasion, exhorted the sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany  to explore new ways and new methods to evangelize in the given ministry.

Fr Pius James D’Souza, Episcopal Vicar for Religious of the Diocese  spoke on the theme of ‘New Evangelization,” which, he said was nothing but newness in ardour, method and expression.
Sr Canisia, General Councillor, Sr Lellis, Assistant Superior General, Sr Virginia, Sr Inviolatha, former provincial superiors, were among others present.

The day earlier began with a thanksgiving prayer. There was even a power point presentation on some of the noteworthy events in the Province during the course of the year.
