ROTEX Debate 2015 Mega State Level Finals At Moodabidri Today

Mangalore, Dec 3, 2015 : The mega final of state level inter-school debate event ROTEX Debate 2015, will be held at the Excellent Pre-University College at Moodabidri today. The event is being organized by Excellent Pre-University Science and Commerce College in association with Rotary Club of Moodabidri Temple Town and conducted by Mangalore based NGO Centre for Integrated Learning.

 
The district level debating event took place during the month of November at Madikeri, Mysore, Mandya, Shivamogga, North Kanara, Hubli, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, with over 400 young speakers expressing their opinions on wide array of contemporary issues. The mega finals of the event, draws the winners of each of the district level debating event.

The English debate competition for high school children, ROTEX Debate 2015, intends to provide a debating and dialogue platform for youth, aimed at exchanging of thought and ideas. It is to develop debating culture among the student fraternity. Debate plays an indisputable and responsible role in strengthening democratic systems and practices in our society.

 The format of Debate could most importantly not only inculcate qualities of tolerance and understanding, but also be used as an effective tool for conflict resolution.

ROTEX Debate is being conducted for the second successive year. The debating event will be inaugurated by district in-charge minister B Ramanth Rai.
