Mangalore, Sep 7, 2014: The Konkan Railway took an unprecedented step of imposing an exemplary fine of Rs 1 lakh on one of its catering contractors whose services were found deficient. The catering contractor was duly fined following complaints of poor quality of food.
Generally the catering service provided to passengers in trains managed by Konkan Railway are immensely appreciated by passengers for quality.
