Rain intensifies in DK, Udupi

 Mangalore, June 7, 2013  :   Various places of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are experiencing heavy rains  since June 6 Thursday.

There have been reports of light to medium  showers  even in Putur taluk, Moodbidri, Sullia, Bantwal Mulki and Kinnigoli.

In Kinnigoli,  a coconut tree fell on the roof of a house at Panja resulting in losses of nearly Rs one lakh. However, no one was injured in the incident.

Subrahmanya too experienced good rainfall. The roads of the pilgrim town have turned slushy. Good rainfall has been reported even in Belthangady, Dharmasthala and other places.
