Rape of 5 yr girl in Hosadurga : Police serve lookout notice for Davangere man

Kasargod, April 29, 2013 :  Police have served a lookout notice for a person named Maruthi (45) hailing from Davangere in Karnataka who was wanted in connection with the case of the rape of a minor. It has been alleged that Maruthi who until recently stayed in a house  at Hosadurga here,  had raped a five year old daughter of a  relative who lived close by his house on April 17.

It is learnt, when the girl’s mother rushed on hearing her daughter’s screams, the  accused warned her of dire consequences  if she divulged the matter before anyone. Out of great fear, the woman had  even refrained from taking her daughter who was complaining of severe pain, to a doctor. However, the matter came to light when the girl developed complications and had to be hospitalized. During medical examination, doctors proved that the girl had been raped. Doctors attending on the girl have said that her condition was improving.

Hosadurga police have registered a case  and have released the photograph and details of the accused to  police in Karnataka and Kerala.
