Mangalore, May 17:  ‘Students should not be involved in politics in the campus and should concentrate on studies’ said District in charge minister J Krishna Palemar.


He was speaking after inaugurating an Award Ceremony organised by the Karavali Institute of Technology at Neerumarga near here on May 16, Palemar said that students should instill values and principles in life. The institutions in India should give more emphasis on higher education, he said


MLC and State NRI Forum Vice President Capt Ganesh Karnik said that one can be a successful in life if he understands his strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats properly. Students should not be distracted when they face difficulties, he added.


Stating that people abuse environment without bothering the consequences, he opined that greed and arrogance are the two key reasons which make man irresponsible towards environment. G R Education Trust Founder Chairman S Ganesh Rao presided. College Principal Dr V Seenappa was present.
