Mangaluru, Jan 2, 2016:A drunken brawl between a 30-year-old man with his 25-year-old relative led to the murder of the former in Kuttar on Saturday. The Ullal police have arrested the accused.
According to Ullal police, Rudramuni, a native of Ballari and his relative Pradeep were working in a salon managed by their relative Ramesh in Kuttar. They were living together in a room above the salon.
The police said Pradeep was angry with Rudramuni as he had informed some right-wing group members about the former’s reported association with a girl. There were heated arguments between the two on this issue on Saturday night as they were consuming alcohol and Pradeep reportedly stabbed Rudramuni. As Rudramuni died, Pradeep left the room, the police said.
The Ullal police swung into action and arrested Pradeep on Sunday morning. He was produced before a jurisdictional magistrate, who remanded Pradeep in judicial custody.
