Mangaluru, Dec 16, 2016: Addressing media in Mangaluru, committee chairman Harikrishna Bantwal said thatKoti-Chennaya Janmasthala Sanchalana Samiti, Padumale, will organise various religious rituals at Padumale, Paduvannur, Ishwaramangala and Puttur, under the guidance of Vasudeva Tantri, Ravish Tantri and Anantaraja Bhat Mujuru, on December 17 and 18.

Various religious rituals are directed towards fulfilling the last wish of the twin heroes of Tulunadu, Koti and Chennaya.

Their last words can be seen in Paddana, a Tulu folk literature folk song. Padumale is closely associated with Koti-Chennaya. Before dying, they had told Perumale Ballal who nurtured them, that a garadi should be built at Padumale and Nemotsava should be offered.

Therefore, rituals like special pooja to Lord Nagabrahma, Navagraha Shanti, Mrutyunjaya Homa, Aghora Homa, Vanadurga Homa and others will be held on both days, Bantwal said.
