Moodabidri, May 20, 2014: Thekkatte Krishnaiah Acharya, a retired art teacher who had served in Jain High School Moodabidri, aged about 62 years, is said to have committed suicide by consuming poison.


T K Acharya was a popular figure associated with art and culture due to his contributions to  art, drama, ballet, mime and so on. His art was regularly featured in  expositions particularly ’Alva’s Chitrasiri’. He leaves behind his wife, son and daughter.

 Acharya master  after his retirement he settled in his home town Thekkatte in Kundapur.
