Revised railway schedule for monsoons announced

Mangalore, June 7, 2012 : The railway department has announced the monsoon railway time table for trains running along the Konkan Railway route. The time-table will be followed between June 10 and October 31.

According to the revised monsoon schedule, the Mangalore to LTT Matsyagandha express (train no. 12620) will leave Mangalore at 12:50 a.m. instead of 2:40 p.m. and the Mangalore to CSTM Express (train no. 12134) will leave Mangalore at 4:45 p.m. instead of 2:00 p.m.

The Madgaon to CSTM Mandovi Express (train no. 10104) will leave Madgaon at 8:30 a.m. instead of 9:30 a.m.; the Ernakulum to Nizamuddin Mangala Express (train no. 12617) will leave Ernakulam at 10:45 a.m. instead of 1:05 p.m.; the Madgaon to CSTM Janshatabdi Express (train number 12052) will leave Madgaon at 12:10 p.m. instead of 2:30 p.m.; the Madgaon to CSTM Konkankanya Express (train no. 10112) will leave Madgaon at 4:45 p.m. instead of 6:00 p.m.; the Sawantwadi to Diva Passenger (train n. 50106) will leave at 8:35 a.m.; and the Madgaon to Nizamuddin Goa Sampark Kranthi Express (train no. 12449) will leave at 12:25 a.m.

The Okha to Ernakulum bi-weekly express will be partly cancelled between Hapa to Okha to Hapa.

According to Chief PRO of Konkan Railway Siddheshwar Telugu, the railway time-table is revised during monsoons to ensure safety for trains and passengers. He said that the timings may change slightly because of the All India Time Table, which will be introduced on July 1.
