Vittla, Oct 31, 2012 : The Vittla police have urged the public to be on their guard, following increase in the number of theft reports in this jurisdiction.
Speaking at a press meet at Vittla Police Station on Oct 30, Tuesday, SI Madhava Kudlu said that the police will take all the required steps to prevent theft in the region.
Listing out the steps the police intend to take to prevent crime, he said that the police will distribute pamphlets containing 109 precautions, tips and guidelines to avoid burglaries, robberies, car thefts, and chain snatching while walking along the road and also while travelling.
He also said that public awareness will be created through religious places too.
He concluded by urging the public to cooperate with the police.
