Rotary Clubs of Aleppy and Mangalore hold harmony meeting

Mangalore, Nov 27, 2012 : Rotary Club of Mangalore South and Rotary Club of Aleppy East (Kerala) organized an inter-district joint meeting on Sunday at Hotel Moti Mahal to promote harmonious relationships among members of the Rotary Club.

After welcoming the 35 Rotarians from Aleppy East, Gurudas Karkera, president of the Rotary Club Mangalore South, exchanged mementos and flags with Rotarian Joseph Antharapur, president of Rotary Club Aleppy East. The two presidents presented a brief report on community development activities held in their local Rotary Clubs, after which Mr. Antharapur invited the Mangalore Rotarians to visit Aleppy East.

Rotarose, a club bulletin, was released by Rotarian Sadashiva Shetty, assistant governor, in commemoration of this event. Suresh Holla, a new member, was then inducted into the club.

Suresh Joseph, assistant governor of R.I.Dist.3211 in Aleppy, Kerala, was the chief guest of this occasion.

Rotarian Jagadish Shetty, president of Rotary Club Mangalore South, and Satish Bolar, previous president, were also present.

Rotarian K. S. Chacko coordinated the event. Rotarian Jagadish delivered the vote of thanks.

A musical show from visually impaired students of Annapoorneshwari Art School formed the highlight of the event.
