Mangalore, Aug 14, 2014 DHNS: A press release states that a nine day technical expo, ‘Operating systems and networking’ organised by the Department of Master of Computer Applications at Shree Devi Institute of Technology (SDIT) has got underway. Computer Science graduates and postgraduate students of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts are taking part in the expo.

The exhibition is being focused on two areas. First, the networking section demonstrating the functions of hardware parts like Hubs, Routers, Switches etc. The second section is the operating systems. Comparison of different platforms like MAC OS, Windows, Linux and Android is being demostrated. Android and Augmented Reality applications developed by the students are also on display.

Mulki Vijaya College Principal Prof K R Shankar inaugurated the exhibition. Principal Dr Dilip Kumar K, Shree Devi Education Trust Secretary Maina S Shetty, MCA Department Head Prof Nethravathi P Sand Trustee Priyanka N Shetty were present.
