Mangalore, June 4, 2010: A two-day seminar on Natha tradition was organized at SDM Law College on June 4, Friday by the Natha Traditional Publicity Committee and the Karnataka Sahithya Academy.
Renowned writer Amruth Someshwar remarked after inaugurating the event that goal setting is essential for success. Commenting on the uniqueness of religion, he said that all religious places have their own history, caste, and cult, owing to which it is unique. Dr. Neelakanta Swamiji of Gorakhnath Tapovana in Tippur delivered the benedictory speech.
President of Karnataka Sahitya Academy M. H. Krishnayya, who is also a writer, presided over the function. He said that the various talks delivered by scholars during this seminar will be published in the form of a book within the next three months. The sessions will be recorded, he said, adding that even if the scholars do not submit the hard copies of their talks, the book will be published with the help of the audios.
Entrepreneur K. Narayana Sharma of Sagar in Shimoga was the chief guest of the event. Registrar of Karnataka Sahithya Academy V. N. Mallikarjuna Swamy made the welcome speech.
