Mangalore, April 1: The SSLC students wrote their first exam today without any nervous. They recollected the points, clarified minute doubts with their friends in the last moment before the commencement of the exam.
Totally, 8.35 lakhs students are expected for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate 2010 examination conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) on Thursday.
According to KSEEB, students will be given a 15 minute breather at the commencement of examination for reviewing the question paper.
As per the earlier announcements made by the Department of Primary and Secondary Education, the question paper pattern has been changed to 75 percent essay type questions with 25 percent of multiple choice questions. The change in the pattern indicates that students will have to attempt more number of essay type comprehensive questions. The extended time of 15 minutes for review of question paper will provide students to prepare themselves to answer the question paper in a systematic method.
The first subject of SSLC examination is second language comprising of English, Kannada and optional English.
