Sandhya Shenoy honored with Society for Materials Chemistry Medal-2024

Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2024: Sandhya Shenoy, a SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board) Research Scientist from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Srinivas University, has been awarded the prestigious Society for Materials Chemistry Medal-2024. The recognition is for her exceptional contributions to the field of materials chemistry.

The medal was presented to Ms. Shenoy by A.K. Tyagi, Distinguished Scientist at the Department of Atomic Energy and Senior Professor at Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, during a ceremony held at the DAE Convention Centre, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.

Ms. Shenoy’s research focuses on materials for energy and environmental applications, particularly in the areas of thermoelectric and photocatalytic properties. She has also been honored with an Associateship from the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru.
