Search teams find body of Avin Ponnanna

Mangalore, Sep 7, 2012 : The body of Avin Ponnanna, who died of drowning in River Kaveri in Balamuri, was found on September 6, Thursday in Uppugundi after four days of intense search operations.

Avin had fallen in the river along with his bike when he was crossing a bridge across River Kaveri in Balamuri on the evening of Monday. He lost control over his bike as water was pouring over the bridge because of continuous rainfall.

The Dubare Team and the Fire Service Squad began searching for him on two rafts. The local people and expert swimmers had also joined the operation. The local people who had gone searching for Avin on a sand mining boat found his dead body on the fourth day.
