Udupi, Jan 24, 2017: The second Tulunadu Garadigala Mahasammellana will be held at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Hall Udupi , today, Tuesday January 24. Mohan Alva, president of Alva’s Education Foundation, had been chosen as the president of the sammelan. B.S. Yeddyurappa, former Chief Minister, would inaugurate the sammelan at 10.30 a.m.

The reception committee co-ordinator Tingale Vikramarjuan Hegde said the conference, being held after five years, aims to highlight various traditional aspects followed in Tulunadu culture focusing on Garadi tradition.

The sammelan would have seminars on ‘A review of bhoota ritual’ and ‘Future challenges of worship of daivas’. Chinnappa Gowda, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka Janapada University, would deliver the keynote address in the seminar on ‘bhoota’ at noon. This would be followed by a felicitation function and video presentation on ‘bhootakola.’
