Mangalore, June 2, 2012 : The George Fernandes Vichara Vedike of Mangalore will organize a seminar on George Fernandes on June 4 at Town Hall in Mangalore.

Dharmendra T., president of the vedike, told reporters that people close to Mr. Fernandes will speak about his life on this occasion. 

Some of the chief speakers will be A. Shrinivas Rao, vice president of Shrinivas Group of Colleges; Jayaram Shrian, editor of Issues and Concerns; H. K. Balasoori, writer and journalist; and R. L. Dias, president of the Railway Yathri Sangha of Udupi, he said.

The organizers expect Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of the state legislative assembly; N. Vinay Hegde, president of Nitte Education Trust; J. J. V. Fernandes, a relative of Mr. George Fernandes; S. P. Chengappa, president of Mangalore Bar Council, and many others to take part in the event.

The vedike will also celebrate Mr. Fernandes’ birthday by distributing sweets in the children’s wards of Wenlock Hospital and other hospitals.
