Senior Category Verbattle - 14 teams selected

Aug 06, 2014: Fourteen teams in the senior category were selected for the next round of Verbattle. The event was organised by Verbattle Foundation as a part of Verbattle Debate competition 2014. A total of 60 teams had participated in the junior category and 25 teams in the senior round of the zonal-level selection of the Verbattle.

   Some of the topics for the four minute debate session for seniors included ‘Love is a fools emotion’, ‘Television causes intellectual degradation’ and ‘Anger is a positive emotion.’ The selected teams will be participating in the Verbattle Senior- Skirmish round to be held at JSS auditorium in Bangalore on August 18.The junior round has selected 22 teams to participate in the Verbattle Junior-Skirmish round to be held in Bangalore on August 19.

Speaking on the occasion, Founder of the Verbattle Foundation and host of the event, Deepak Thimaya said Verbattle is the only platform that gives students an opportunity to argue and defend their viewpoints.  Air India Station Manager Nagesh Shetty, SGPT First Grade College Assistant Professor Nagesh Rao were the other judges.
