Sex racket busted; 7 including 3 women arrested

Udupi, May 12, 2013: A major flesh trade racket was busted by the Brahmavar police on May 11, Saturday with the arrest of  four men and three women from the Manasa Bar and Restaurant.  A cash of Rs 1600 and three mobile sets have been seized from the arrested.

The raid followed a tip off that immoral activities were underway at the place. The raiding team led by Brahmavar Circle Inspector DT Prabhu arrested Shehar Poojari(42) of Koteshwar, Satish Achar (35) of Hemmady, Vinay Kumar of Udupi and Suresh Shetty (45) of Perdoor.

The arrested three women have been sent to remand home.

Investigations are underway.
