Siddalingaiah to preside over Alva’s Nudisiri Nov 14-16

Mangalore, Oct 09, 2014: At a press meet on October 8, Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman Dr Mohan Alva said,  well-known Poet and organiser Dr Siddalingaiah will be the president of 11th Alva’s Nudisiri scheduled to be held at Moodbidri from November 14 to 16.  Dr Mohan said, Prof. Siddalingaiah has given voice to the voiceless through his literary works. Children’s book writer and novelist Na D’Souza will inaugurate the Nudisiri.

The theme of this literary meet is ‘Karnataka: Varthamanada thallanagalu.” On all the three days, there will be cultural programmes in the evening. This year cultural programmes in Tulu, Konkani and Beary will be given emphasis, Dr Alva added. Various sessions based on the theme will be organised. Literary sessions will be followed by cultural programmes spread over six stages.  The entry to the Nudisiri is free for students. Other delegates will be charged a fee of Rs 100.
