Singing competition ’Kanaka Gangotri’ on Feb 28

Mangalore, Feb 9, 2014: Kanakadasa Research Centre of Mangalore will organize ‘Kanaka Gangotri’, a competition in singing compositions of Saint Kanakadasa at Mangalagangotri on February 28.

According to a press release, PG students, teachers and non teaching staff from Manalore Un iversity, VTU, RGUHS, Kannur University (Kerala) are eligible to participate.
 
The competition will be held in two catagories- students and teachers-cum non-teaching staff. In each category, top three singers would be given Rs.3,000 each as a prize.

In the competition, the students should sing only compositions of Kanakadasa. They will be allowed to sing only one song.
