Son-in-law of Ullal businessman dies in Kuwait

Mangalore, July 26, 2012 : Saad Zubair Alapi (36), assistant imam at a Kuwait mosque, died in a road accident at Hafr Al Batin, 50kms from the Kuwait – Saudi Arabia border in the afternoon of July 25, Wednesday.

Originally from Kerala, Saad is the husband of Fauzia, daughter of Moidin Kunhi, a businessman in Ullal. He has been the imam of the mosque in Kuwait for the past five years and lived with his wife and children in Kuwait.

Saad was on a pilgrimage with his family. On his way back, one of the tyres of his car burst. The vehicle went out of his control and rolled over. While Saad died on the spot, his wife and children sustained injuries and were admitted to the hospital.
