St Sebastian Church honours new elected representatives

Mangalore, June 16, 2013: The St Sebastian Church at Bendore in Mangalore, organised a function at the St Sebastian Silver Jubilee Hall here on June 15 Saturday to felicitated newly elected Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo and eight corporators of Mangalore.

Fr Antony Serrao, Parish Priest of Bendore Church, who presided over the function, said the society reposed high faith and had great expectations from the newly elected representatives and hoped that they would live upto the expectations of the people. He also stressed the need for the society to sink differences and work towards peace and harmony.

Along with JR Lobo, Corporators Sabitha Misquith, Ashok Kumar, Vinayraj AC, Keshava, Asha D’Silva, Roopa D Bangera, Akhila Alva and Naveen  D’Souza were honoured on behalf of the Church.

JR Lobo who spoke on behalf of all the felicitated elected representatives, an elected representative  has to shoulder much greater responsibility.

Fr Paul Crasta, Fr Michael, Ronald, Laveena John, Fr John  Baptist and others were present on the occasion.
