Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2016: The Department of Posts is set to hold a Republic Day 2017 stamp design competition on the theme ’Nature:India.’
According to a press release, the contest is open to all citizens of India and the last date to submit the entries is December 20. The participants are required to make original design on the subject, which should not be the copy of any picture painted by someone else.
The design could be in ink, water colour or any other medium (computer printed/ printout will not be allowed). The design should be sent without being folded, through speed post in A4 size envelope. The participants should mention ’Republic Day 2017 Stamp design competition’ on the envelope in which the drawing is sent.
Selected designs will be considered for use on stamps and other philatelic material. The first three winners will receive cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively. The entries should reach the office of ADG-1 (Philately), Room No.108(B), Dak Bhawan.
