Statue of Jesus stoned in Kundapur

Mangalore, Feb 14: Unidentified miscreants stoned a glass case housing a statue of Jesus, damaging the statue in the process. The unfortunate incident took place on Feb 13, Saturday, outside a church at Katkare, Kundapur. 

Police officials, however, say that the church was not damaged. So far, nobody has been arrested. 

Fr. Bonipas D’Souza, the parish priest, suspects that the local people are responsible for the incident. 

The BJP government of Karnataka has been blamed for these church attack incidents, which are being reported regularly since the past 3 months.
