Gandhiji was a common man who experimented with truth, found a new way and became a great personality. The youth these days carry the notion that patriotism is something which is aggressive but Gandhiji taught a new way of non-violence and Satyagraha.
He did not believe in great powers, he said. "Those who rule us today are ignorant and there is a need to change the mindset of people. The real change should be within. Gandhiji said that one should be the change he wants to witness. He did not believe in hatred and carried no enmity against anyone," Irvattur said. The mindset that Gandhian principles are of no use is a threat to humanity, he said.
