Students of St. Philomena’s College Puttur Win Rural IT Quiz

Puttur, Nov 3: Nitesh Raj and Ahmed Shabib, students of St Philomena’s Pre-university College in Puttur, won the Udupi Regional Finals of the Rural IT Quiz, organized by the state government’s department of IT, BT, and science and technology in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services at Nutana Ravindra Mantap, MGM College, on Monday. 

The first runners-up were N Anushree and Meryl Lewis from Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar. The second runners-up were Athreya Rao and Nakul Kamath of Poornaprajna Pre-university College, Udupi. 

The winners received a scholarship of Rs 17,000, a memento, CD cases, pen drives, and T-shirts from Tata Consultancy Services. They will be participating in the state-level finals of the same quiz, which is to be organized in Bangalore on November 12. 

The runners-up also received pen drives, CD cases, and T-shirts from Tata Consultancy Services in addition to scholarships of Rs. 8,000 for the first runners up and Rs 4,000 for the second runners up.
