Terrified customers seek changes in travel schedule

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, May 23: Customers are almost falling over themselves in an attempt to change their travel schedule after the tragic plane crash at Mangalore, reports Bahrain Overseas Travels, a travel agency in Bahrain.

The travel agency reports that a number of customers, who had booked flights to Mangalore, have been calling up and requesting a change of schedule. Customers want to land at nearby airports instead. Rajesh Pillai of the Bahrain Oversea Travel explained that Air India Express is the only airline operating direct flights between Mangalore and Bahrain.

Other travel agencies also report receiving dozens of calls requesting changes in travel schedule.

Meenakshi Malik, the country manager of Air India Bahrain, says that there is no disruption in its schedule and that the next flight to Mangalore will take off as usual.
