Terrorists can enter through southern coast, warn intelligence reports

April 22: Intelligence reports have issued a warning that terrorists plan to use the sea route to sneak into India via its southern court. Accordingly, security has been tightened along the coasts of Karnataka and Kerala. 

Intelligence reports have warned the governments of these states that there is a greater chance of terrorists using the coast of Kannur and Kasargod districts to enter India. Currently, the Coast Guard, the police, the ports, the Fisheries Departments, and the Coastal Security Force are keeping a sharp watch on the coast. The Intelligence Additional Director General of Police at Kerala has already issued a warned in this regard. 

Besides police fibre boats, private company boats have been hired and personnel has been provided with sophisticated weapons to deal with any emergency situation. Security forces in DK, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are on the alert; and huge industries have been instructed to enhance their security measures. The police stations along the coasts have been alerted.
