Udupi, April 23, 2016: Thieves broke into a house at Hoode village coming under Malpe police station limits on Friday and took away gold ornaments whose value is estimated at Rs. 1.36 lakh.

According to the Malpe police, thieves broke into the house of Shabbir on Gujjarbettu Road in Hoode between 12.45 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. when no one was present in the house. They took away a gold bracelet, two gold bangles and a gold necklace. A dog squad and a team of finger print experts were pressed into service at the spot of theft.
