Thieves loot valuables from temple at Siddapura

Kundapura, Dec 13, 2015:  It is reported that thieves broke into a temple and decamped with valuables at Siddapura village in Kundapur taluk.

According to the police, thieves broke into the Sri Chitteri Mahaganapati Temple and made good with valuables including silver items and “hundi” box between 10.30 p.m. on December 11 and 6.30 a.m. on December 12.

The value of the stolen items has been estimated at Rs. 1 lakh.A case had been registered at the Shankarnarayana police station and investigations were on, the police said on Saturday Dec 12.
