Thieves posing as rag pickers arrested

Mangaluru, Sep 16, 2015  : As per reports,  Pandeshwar police arrested three persons in connection with thefts  reported in and around Mangaluru and Hassan districts,  valuables worth Rs 4.55 lakh were seized.    The arrested are Kiran of Haveri, Sandeep of Bajpe and Ashok Kumar of Tamil Nadu.

The police have seized 128 grams of gold ornaments, 10 copper utensils, five bells, 20 ’kaalu deepa’ and two laptops.   Kiran and Ashok were living in tents and were visiting various places to rob them. The duo came in contact with Sandeep of Mangaluru. Pretending to be rag picking, the trio started looking into houses and temples.

There were 11 cases against the trio at the Pandeshwar police station, Surathkal police station, Mangaluru rural police station and Hassan police station.
