Three Journos arrested for blackmailing a contractor

Kundapur, May 18:  Three journalists from Bhatkal are being subjected to intensive interrogation for allegedly blackmailing a contractor M H Hameed for money.

 

According to M H Hameed, contractor from Taggaragod, three journos Abdul Majeed, a reporter of a publication from Navunda named ‘Professional Reporter’, Anduka from ‘Indian News’ and K P Manjunath Ganiga from ‘Mithra’ newspaper have entered his house and pressurized him for money.

They have collected money from Hameed forcefully, after threatening him by saying they would publish defamatory news against him, he said.

Three journalists have been taken into custody by Batkal town police station Sub inspector Manjunath Gowda  for intensive interrogation.
