Udupi, Sep 05, 2014: On Sept 4,   additional JMFC Court Magistrate V N Milana  awarded three year imprisonment each to two youth, who were proven guilty of assaulting their relatives at Ellampalli Deepanagudde near Nilavara village of Udupi taluk.    

Pramodraj (29) and Prasad Acharya (34) are the convicted,  further the court ordered them to pay a fine of Rs 5,000 towards the victim. Brahmavara police had booked the duo based on a complaint by the victim. Both had assaulted the complainant Giriraj Acharya (34) on October 7, 2012 at around 8.30 pm. Giriraj was injured badly in the chest.  He was assaulted with an iron rod for warning them not to visit his house though they were relatives. The accused had threatened to kill the injured.  The prosecution succeeded in proving allegations against them before the court.
