Thwaka Ahmed takes over as Gurupura Qazi

Gurupura, April 21: During a programme organized under the auspices of Madarasa Management and Jamiyyathul Muallimeen at Sooralpady, Gurupura, on April 21, Wednesday, Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar took charge as the Qazi of Gurupura range.

 

Al Haj N P M Zainul Abideen Thangal of Kerala placed a turban on the head of Thwaka Usthad and appointed him as the Qazi of Gurupura. He also spoke about the importance of the Samastha organization. 

During his first speech as Qazi, Thwaka Ahmed Musilyar said that Islam calls all to worship Allah and appealed to all to follow the path of the Ulamas who brought Islam to India. C M Chembarikka Usthad, the late Qazi of Mangalore, was remembered on the occasion. 

A Student Fest 2010 was conducted, during which the students of the Madarasa, which comes under Gurupura Range, participated in a wide range of competitions such as Qira’th, singing, drawing, azaan, and others. 

President of Zeenath Baksh Masjid Mangalore Y Abdullah Kunhi inaugurated the programme and remembered the contributions of C M Usthad. Al Haj K P Abdul Jabbar Usthad of Mithabail presided over the programme. Abdul Majeed Sooralpady, the president of Gurupura Range Madarasa Management, made the welcome speech. 

Qazi of Athradi Al Haj V K Abubakkar Musliyar, K M Usmanul Faizi, Moideen Bawa, Asif Seeco, K L Ummer Darimi, and many others participated in the event.
