Mangalore, Mar 7, 2014 : “Nirel” the first international Tulu movie was released at Jyothi Theatre in Mangalore on March 7, Friday. Fr Philip Franklin D’Souza lighted the traditional lamp marking the inaugural of the function. The movie was simultaneously released even in Moodbidri on Friday.
In Mangalore, apart from Jyothi Theatre, it will be screened in Cinepolis and Big Cinemas. In Moodbidri, it will be screened at Amarashree Theatre.
The film has been brought out by Sandhya Creations and is directed by Ranjith Bajpe. It is jointly produced by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary.It was shot entirely in UAE. ‘Nirel’ is based on the Kannada script "Nadu Naduve" authored by Karthik Gowda who also wrote the screenplay for Nirel. The dialogues are by Ranjith Bajpe.
Bhaskar Moily from Dubai,San Poojary, co-producer, actor Anoop Sagar, Deepak Paladka, Balachandra, Prashanth Kamath, Sudhakar Kudroli, and others were present at the function.
