Sullia, Dec 03, 2015  A two-day science festival, organised by Agasthya International Foundation, in association with Education Department, was held at Government School in Gandhinagar, Sullia, recently.

Block Education Officer B S Kempalingappa, speaking inaugurating the science festival, said science is a knowledge driven by curiosity.

Akshara Dasoha Officer Chandrashekhara Peralu said students should make the best use of opportunities.

The science centre is helpful to the students in the region, he added. At the science model exhibition, around 230 students exhibited different science models.

Demonstrations on grafting and solar heater were held. A drawing competition was also held on the occasion.

School Development and Monitoring Committee president Abdul Nazir presided over the programme. Education Department Resource Centre coordination officer Veena Sathish, Pre-university College principal Mahalinga Bhat, High School headmistress Nalini, Agasthya International Foundation Coastal Department head Subrahmanya and others were present on the occasion. As many as 3,000 students took part in the science festival.
