Two minority families clash at Katipalla.

Mangaluru, Feb 02, 2016 : It is reliably reported that two groups exchanged blows over a petty dispute at Katipalla on Feb 1,  Monday.  The dispute began after a goat owned by one particular community ate the wheat kept outside the house of another community.

According to the police, there was a heated exchange of words between the family members of two minority communities (a Christian and a Muslim family), who are neighbours, on January 29, after a goat owned by one family ate a portion of wheat kept for drying outside the other house.

The issue flared up on Monday.   Family members of the two houses were joined by a few more men and they all exchanged blows.  The Surathkal police rushed to the spot with additional policemen and brought the situation under control.
