Bantwal, July 12, 2017: Two new police officers have been posted to Bantwal where the law and order situation has deteriorated following group clashes since May 26.

IPS officer Arun K., who was the Assistant Superintendent of Police in Holenarsipur of Hassan district, has been posted as the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Bantwal Circle.

Brijesh Mathew, Police Inspector, Anti Corruption Bureau, Chikkamagaluru, has been posted to the vacant post of Circle Inspector, Bantwal. The post was vacant since June second week when incumbent B.K. Manjaiah was posted to the office of the Director-General and Inspector-General of Police, Bengaluru. The two officers have been asked to report to duty at the earliest.
