Udupi, Feb 1, 2014: A Total of 1,100 candidates have been shortlisted by the companies in the job fair held in Udupi, according to District Urban Development Cell (Udupi) project director V Prasanna.

However no one is given the appointment order. According to the companies, nearly 50 per cent are freshers who are at the end of their course. Hence, immediate decision connot be taken in connection with the employment orders. There was a call for nearly 620 vacancies in the job fair from various companies, he added.
