Udupi: 2 cousins meet watery grave in Vishnumurthi Temple pond

Udupi, May 26, 2013: Two seven year old boys who had ventured into swimming in the pond of Kodangala Vishnumurthi Temple  on May 25, Saturday, have met a watery grave.

The deceased are Prateek and his cousin Karthik hailing from Karvalu. It is learnt, the two had gone swimming when a pooja was underway in the  temple. However, when they did not return for long, a search was launched and Prateek’s body was found floating in the body. The body of Karthik was retrieved later on.

Prateek was the son of late Krishnamurthi while Karthik was the son of Krishnamurthi’s brother  Mohan Nayak. They were students of Shantiniketan School, Alevoor and Karvalu Governmment School respectively.

Manipal police have registered a case.
